2011 OSA Picnic & Junior Show
This year’s Shorthorn Field Day was a great success. People and cattle alike were well taken care of by the Reid family. The show featured both Shorthorn and other breed classes and was well attended by an enthusiastic group of Jr’s. Sylvia Megans was the champion showperson with Blair Williamson taking reserve honours. As has become a hallmark of the Shorthorn Jr’s, the showmanship featured strong competitive classes across the age groups. The Shorthorn conformation classes featured several splits of yearlings and heifer calves giving all those watching a preview of what will certainly be a competitive fall show season. The Champion Shorthorn was Glenrothes Rena Rosewood exhibited by Patrick Brown-Andison. Reserve Champion was Nikki Smith’s entry of Crawfdown Miss Lea.
